CM holds direct dialogue with representatives of social organisations; pre-Budget consultation meeting organised in KurukshetraKurukshetra: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday said that the state’s budget will be prepared with active public participation so that it truly reflects the aspirations of the common people. He emphasised that suggestions are being invited from every section of society to ensure that public opinion is meaningfully incorporated into the upcoming budget, and sincere efforts will be made to include these inputs.
Addressing a pre-Budget consultation meeting with representatives of various organisations at the Senate Hall of Kurukshetra University on Thursday evening, the Chief Minister said that all suggestions received would be examined seriously by officers and subject experts. The budget, he added, would be drafted keeping public welfare at its core.Prior to the meeting, the Chief Minister held discussions and sought suggestions from office-bearers of several prominent organisations, including the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Vidya Bharati, Adhivakta Parishad, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Krida Bharati and other organisations. He interacted individually with representatives of each organisation regarding the budget being prepared for Haryana this year.CM Saini said this budget does not belong to any single government or electoral agenda, but represents the collective aspirations of Haryana’s 2.8 crore citizens under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The government’s objective, he said, is to ensure participation from all sections and to present a balanced budget that accelerates the state’s holistic development.Describing the pre-Budget consultation process as a strong and meaningful democratic exercise, the Chief Minister said that suggestions from farmers, workers, youth, advocates, educationists, sports bodies and social organisations would be given due consideration. He expressed confidence that a budget prepared through public participation would play a crucial role in making Haryana a self-reliant, empowered and developed state.He assured representatives present at the meeting that every practical and public-interest-oriented suggestion received during the consultation process would be prioritised and incorporated into the budget as far as possible. The Chief Minister said the government aims to present a visionary, balanced and expectation-driven budget whose impact would be clearly visible on the ground in the coming years, and not remain confined to paperwork.Action Taken on Pre-Budget SuggestionsDuring the meeting, OSD to the Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Hina Bindlish, presented details of the Action Taken Report related to pre-Budget consultations. She informed that suggestions received earlier were taken seriously by the government and included in previous budgets, with positive outcomes now visible at the grassroots level.She said that a total of 11 consultation meetings were organised, during which valuable suggestions were received from various stakeholders. These included inputs related to women, industry and health sectors, different government departments, rural development and Panchayati Raj, education, skill development and skilling, excise, and incubation centres. She added that incubation centres are being established across the state, several start-up-related suggestions have already been implemented, and work is underway on proposals related to employment generation. All practical, welfare-oriented and development-focused suggestions, she said, are being implemented in a phased manner.
