Punjab: Fortuner hits divider on Bathinda-Dabwali Expressway amid dense fog; 5 tourists from Gujarat killed | Chandigarh News
BATHINDA: Five persons including a woman died in road accident near Gurthari village in Bathinda situated on Bathinda-Dabwali Bharatmala Pariyozna Expressway, early Saturday. A Fortuner SUV hit the road divider due to dense fog in the area. The local residents hearing a huge noise reached the spot and informed the police. The local residents, along with personnel from Sadak Suraksha Force (SSF) had a tough time in collecting mortal remains and taking the dead bodies to civil hospital. It is learnt the deceased were from Gujrat, who had gone to Himachal Pradesh for tourism and were to Gujrat. The deceased include a woman constable in Gujrat. Police is looking into the matter and collecting details about the deceased.
