Sikh jatha to visit Pakistan on April 10 for Baisakhi celebrations

Amritsar: A Sikh jatha of 1,763 devotees, under the aegis of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC), will leave for Pakistan on April 10 to celebrate Khalsa Sajna Diwas (Baisakhi).SGPC secretary Balwinder Singh Kahalwan on Tuesday informed that passports of 1,795 devotees were submitted to the Pakistan Embassy in New Delhi and visas were issued to 1,763 pilgrims, while 32 applicants were denied visas.The Sikh jatha will attend the main Baisakhi event at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib, Hasan Abdal, Pakistan.
